Good afternoon DHES Parents and Staff,
On Tuesday, November 4, voters in our community will have the opportunity to decide on two important ballot questions that directly impact our schools: Authorization of a School Bond and a renewal of the Public School Buildings Mill Levy. Together, these measures provide critical funding to repair and upgrade our school buildings, improve safety and security, and ensure our classrooms are equipped to support student learning. The bond focuses on major construction projects, like replacing aging roofs, renovating Mayfield High School and HVAC systems, while the mill levy can be used for a wide range of needs — from routine maintenance and repairs to renovations and upgrades that improve our schools for the future. These local funds are essential because they allow us to maintain and enhance facilities without raising the current school tax rate, ensuring every student has a safe, modern space to learn and thrive.
When you’re at the polls, please remember our students. GO VOTE! We encourage you to visit our website (lcps.net) to learn more about these important election items. View the LCPS Bond Election 2025 information here
